Contemporary ceramics,

influenced by traditional crafts

As a reconnecting/mixed artist, I make work to not only focus on the joyful complexity of ornamentation, but to also honor and delight my ancestors. My work borrows from the simplicity of modernism in its form, coupled with the embellishment of traditional beadwork. I explore adornment, preservation, and identity through the combined practice of Indigenous beadwork and ceramics.

“My pots are a grand display of decoration— This creative practice is a love letter to traditional beadwork mixed with contemporary influences that creates a never-ending, yet joyful, exploration of what has been and what will be”
